2014 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE SRT: Big news for the powerful 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT is the introduction of an eight-speed automatic transmission, upscale exterior appearance, and a 44 percent improved towing capacity rating, up to 7,200 pounds. New this year, the SRT luxurious 2+3 seat interior includes Laguna leather and user-friendly technology and connectivity with an 8.4 inch touchscreen and seven-inch programmable multiview gauge cluster. Chrysler Group SRT division has made the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 the most powerful, technologically advanced, high-performance Jeep vehicle ever. It's also the best handling and braking Jeep in history. All '14 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT models are equipped with the 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 that pumps-out 470 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque. This factory-released setup enables the Grand Cherokee SRT to blast from 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds; quarter mile in the mid-13 second range; a top speed of 160 mph and brakes from 60-0 mph in 116 feet. Those are awe-inspiring numbers for an SUV. Additional goodies from SRT add adaptive damping suspension managed by the Jeep Selec-Track system and Brembo brakes with four-wheel ABS. Exterior styling enhancements include seven-slot upper grille with black screen insert that have been shortened and flanked by slimmer, adaptive, bi-xenon headlamps that are surrounded by a LED character lamp treatment. In back, the taillamps are larger with LED lighting, and a more aerodynamically efficient rear spoiler is integrated into the all-new one-touch liftgate. Also new is the redesigned, SRT-exclusive heated three-spoke steering wheel with a flat bottom that features a bevy of comfort, convenience and connectivity controls and more pronounced, more ergonomically efficient paddle shifters. A new Grand Cherokee badge along the vehicle’s sides feature a more distinct, more pronounced font. When rear seatback is flat, there is room for 68.7 cu. ft. of cargo.
