2014 INFINITI Q50: Last year, the all-new 2014 Infiniti Q50 was display for the first time in Chicago, during the 105 edition of the auto show. The Q50 sports sedan will be on review again at the 2014 show, Feb.8-17, offered in ten models, including rear-wheel or Intelligent all-wheel drive configurations. There are two advanced powertrains to select from, starting with the refined 3.7-liter aluminum-alloy DOHC 24-valve V-6, rated at 328 horsepower. An available hybrid features Infiniti's Direct Response Hybrid system that combines a 3.5L DOHC aluminum-alloy V-6 and compact laminated lithium-ion battery design and one-motor/two-clutch motor control. The system's V-6 is produces 296hp, while the advanced 50 kW electric motor is rated at 67hp. The hybrid system net power is 354 horsepower, providing strong acceleration and lean fuel economy. Both Q50 powertrains are matched with an advanced seven-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission with manual shift mode and available steering column-mounted magnesium paddle shifters. Offering a sense of "my car knows me," the i-Key system can recognize each driver and automatically engage pre-set preferences for driving position, heating and cooling, audio, navigation and telematics. Other features include dual-zone automatic temperature control, Bluetooth hands-free phone system, rear view monitor and available Plasmacluster air purifier and around view monitor with moving object detection. Driver-oriented five-passenger cabin is available with leather-appointed seating surfaces, "Kacchu" aluminum trim and available "Fukiurushi" maple wood trim. Three interior colors include: Wheat, Graphite and Stone. Effective luggage space is 18.0 cubic feet with the 3.7L V-6 and 14.1 cu. ft. with the hybrid powertrain. A new paint palette includes a range of eight premium colors from Venetian Ruby and Moonlight White to Hagane Blue.
