2014 HYUNDAI GENESIS COUPE: Hyundai’s popular Genesis Coupe continues building its appeal in the fiercely-competitive sport coupe segment. For 2014, Genesis Coupe offers a number of key enhancements to the rear-drive, high-output performance sport coupe for everyday enthusiasts. Aggressive styling includes a "Z"-shaped bodyside character line, redefined front fascia, grille, headlights, fog lights and hood with heat extractor cues. Bold exterior matches the dynamic performance from the pair of powerplants offered. The turbocharged, intercooled 2.0-liter DOHC inline four-cylinder generates 274 horsepower, while the 3.8L Lambda DOHC V-6 pumps out 348 peak horsepower. Delivering all that performance to the rear wheels is the six-speed manual gearbox or new automatic transmission with eight-speeds and paddle-shift manual-shifting capability. The automatic is engineered to precisely rev-matches engine RPM for smooth downshifts into corners. Governed top speed is 145 mph. The 2014 Genesis Coupe interior offers a leather steering wheel with a more premium grade of leather. The instrument panel crash pad features a stitched-seam appearance, and the instrument cluster contains an electroluminescent gauge cluster for premium ambience and superior readability. A driver-side rear seat walk-in assist function provides convenient rear seat access from the driver’s side. A center stack multi-gauge cluster with instantaneous mpg, torque level (3.8 models) or turbocharger boost pressure (2.0T models), and oil temperature is standard on all trims. Sport front seats with deep side bolsters offer superb lateral support for enthusiastic driving in all trim configurations. For 2014, R-Spec seat bolsters are even deeper for extra support during spirited driving. Hyundai's proprietary telematics platform, Blue Link, is now available, providing Genesis Coupe owners with a variety of infotainment services to meet their individual connectivity needs. Fresh styling cues include a new front fascia, grille, headlights, fog lights, hood designs, LED-enhanced taillights plus unique 18- and 19-inch rims.
