2014 GMC ACADIA: GMC Acadia for 2014 model year features a chiseled three-bar grille, LED lighting, wrap-around rear glass and rear spoiler. Freshly minted 18-, 19- and 20-inch wheel patterns complement the vehicle's lines and bold stance. Acadia is GMC's first SUV/crossover, and is offered for 2014 with a fuel-efficient, 3.6-liter direct injection V-6 producing 288 horsepower. Mechanically, the '14 Acadia benefits from a next-generation Hydra-Matic six-speed automatic transmission, and the powertrain provides up to 5,000 pound towing capability. Front-wheel drive is standard on all trim levels, while the added control of all-wheel drive is available. Acadia's popular options include rear-seat entertainment, a Dual SkyScape sunroof and a trailering package. With five passengers aboard, the Acadia holds 24.1 cu. ft. of cargo, which increases to 70.1 behind the second row, and up to 116.1 cu. ft. of gear behind first row. Acadia is the first vehicle on the market with GMC's new front center air bag system.  Chicago Auto Show Fact: General Motors selected the 2012 Chicago Auto Show to unveil the present generation GMC Acadia crossover.
