2014 FORD MUSTANG: This coming April, the Ford Mustang will celebrate its 50th year of continuous production. The 2014 Mustang continues the legendary traditions of the original pony car, delivering outstanding performance, heritage/modern styling and the hottest in automotive technologies. Styling cues includes a prominent grille, powerful splitter, functional heat extractors on the hood of the GT, standard high-intensity discharge headlamps, painted body-side rockers and sequential LED taillamps. Two new colors are scheduled for 2014 – Ruby Red and Oxford White. Buyers have their choice of the 2+2 coupe or the convertible bodies, with rear-wheel drive and offered in V-6, GT, Boss 302 and Shelby GT500 trim levels. Engine selections range from a 3.7-liter V-6 that delivers 305 horsepower, up to the Shelby with its supercharged 5.4L V-8, generating 550 hp. Engines are available with six-speed manual or new six-speed automatic transmissions. There are special performance appearance packages for the V-6 and GT editions. Those packages include black-painted side mirrors, rear spoiler, body-color rear quarter window louvers, and black-painted aluminum alloy wheels, 18 inches in diameter on the V-6 and 19 inches on GT. The ‘14 Mustang offers selectable steering that tailors the driving experience to fit the driver's needs by its responsive and nimble handling. Inside, all 2014 models receive new cleaner, easier-to-read instrument cluster graphics. Also new on V-6 and GT coupes are optional leather-trimmed or cloth Recaro seats and Brembo Brakes on both manual and automatic Mustangs.
