2014 FORD EXPEDITION: Minor refinements distinguish the 2014 Ford Expedition, as it continues to offer a full-size SUV with top-end towing capability of 9,200 pounds, spaciousness and standard 5.4 liter V-8. The engine generates 310 horsepower and 365 lb.-ft. of torque, and comes teamed with a six-speed automatic transmission using a wider gear ratio, and power is transferred to rear- or ControlTrac four-wheel drive. Built in Kentucky, the Expedition is offered in four trim levels: XL, XLT, Limited and King Ranch. An extended length (EL) version of each is also available. Large interior can carry seven-or eight passengers, and when middle and third row seating are folded down, a spacious 130.8 cu. ft. of storage. The rear Cargo Organizer in Expedition EL models features a panel divider that splits the space in whichever direction the cargo necessitates. Expedition also offers an available power liftgate for easier loading and unloading, a capless fuel-filling system, keyless entry and programmable MyKey system that limits top speed and audio volume control (think teenage drivers). New and notable features are factory-installed dual-head restraint DVD for rear passenger entertainment, an integrated trail brake controller, and internal shift control module. PowerFoldthird-row seats fold flat at the touch of a button, increasing cargo space up to a maximum 130.8 cubic feet.Expedition brings exciting voice-activated technologies to help keep the driver's eyes on the road and hands on the wheel, including AppLink, HD radio, text-to-voice capability and voice-activated navigation system. Plus, unique 20-inch chrome-clad aluminum wheels are optional as is a chrome roof rack and side mirrors.
