2014 CHEVROLET MALIBU: New and enhanced features on the 2014 Chevrolet Malibu include revised front-end appearance, chassis and suspension refinements, and improved rear knee room. Along with updated styling and revised interior, the Malibu will be the first midsize sedan sold in the U.S. to offer fuel-savings stop/start technology standard on its base model. With a wide, athletic stance the Malibu is offered in LS, LT and LTZ trim levels, with 10 exterior and four interior color combination choices. Dual-cockpit, five-passenger interior provides nearly four cubic feet of additional interior volume, along with more shoulder and hip room, more quietness, more premium materials and content, and greater craftsmanship. Malibu’s tailored trunk can carry 16.3 cu. ft. of groceries or multi-piece luggage set. Customer-focused technologies add greater connectivity and enhance crash-avoidance capabilities. These include side blind zone and rear cross traffic alerts, MyLink in-car infotainment system, Pandora Internet radio, Stitcher SmartRadio and Siri Eyes Free Mode. The Text-to-Voice feature converts incoming messages to speech. A new 196 horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine comes standard, and the 2.0L turbo four-cylinder engine delivering stronger acceleration from its 259 horsepower is available. Both come with slightly different versions of the next-generation Hydra-Matic six-speed automatic transmission. Also standard is the HyFuel-saving electric power rack-and-pinion variable-effort power steering system.
