2014 BMW 3 SERIES GT: BMW debuted the new 2014 BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo (GT) during media days at the 106th Edition Chicago Auto Show. Offered in 328i xDrive and 335i xDrive trim levels, the GT makes a perfect interplay between form and space, defined by a very special aesthetic. Now on public review through Feb. 17 in McCormick Place, the Couple-style elegance with five-door convenience including the one-piece hatch, makes a powerful and dynamic impression. Take note of the newly developed Air Breather on the front wheel arches and the Air Curtain on the front apron. The active rear spoiler improves driving dynamics by using the airflow to minimize uplift. Outstanding performance is via a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that generates 240 horsepower on the 328i Gran Turismo, or the 300 hp 3.0L inline six-cylinder powerplant in the 335i GT. Both engines are mated to eight-speed sport automatic transmission with Auto Start/Stop function andpaddles on the Sport leather steering wheel. Also standard is all-wheel drive and the popular automatic stop/start function for improved fuel economy. Desired standard equipment include automatic Start/Stop function, panoramic moonroof, dark burl walnut wood trim, run-flat tires. The 3 Series GT is ready for whatever the day may bring and can adapt with 40:20:40 split rear seat to expand the luggage compartment. A total of 11 metallic exterior colors are offered, including shades with enticing names like Liquid Blue, Kalahari Beige and Melbourne Red. Buyers have a choice from BMW styled 17-, 18- and 19-inch alloy wheels in a half a dozen spoke patterns to customize their ride. And, of course, this can be further enhanced with optional M Sport package for an even more unmistakable appearance.
