Telemundo Chicago Presents Hispanic Day an the Chicago Auto Show with Soccer Legend Jared Borgetti and Actress Penelope Menchaca

Telemundo Chicago joins the Chicago Automotive Trade Association (CATA), known as the oldest and largest metropolitan dealer organization in the country, to sponsor the “Chicago Auto Show” in its 106th year, which will be held at the McCormick Place (February 8th – 17th 2014). For the last eight years Telemundo Chicago and the CATA have united to promote and sponsor the oldest auto exhibition in the country. During this event, which lasts for ten days, Telemundo Chicago will dedicate February 14th as “Hispanic Day at the Chicago Auto Show”.

Telemundo Chicago presents “Hispanic Day at the Chicago Auto Show” Friday, February 14th, 2014, where families will have the extraordinary opportunity to enjoy the exhibition with a touch of their own culture. There will be Latin music, cultural presentations and other entertaining activities. This year Telemundo counts on the talented Penelope Menchaca as their special guest. Penelope forms part of the Telemundo team as the host of the show “12 Corazones”.

Additionally, Telemundo Chicago and Xfinity bring the famous goal scorer, Jared Borgetti. Jared is one of the most celebrated forwards of Mexico, and has enjoyed a notable success at the international and club levels, becoming the first international Mexican to play in England’s Premier League. His time with Atlas, Santos Laguna, and Bolton is only one prominent aspect in Borgetti’s 16-year-long professional career, during which he scored more than 250 goals for 12 different clubs in Mexico, Europe, and the Middle East. Jared retired in 2010 as the highest scoring player of the Mexican National Team with 46 goals, having played in more than 500 professional games, including the FIFA World Cups in 2002 and 2006.

Chicago Auto Show featured programming on Telemundo Chicago will occur daily until February 7th during the 5pm and 10pm news, with a special segment called “Road to the Auto Show”, featuring new car reveals and new technology.  Additional coverage continues on February 8th and 9th with a ½ hour show titled “Telemundo Chicago en el Chicago Auto Show 2012”.  Coverage of the Chicago Auto Show concludes on February 16th during the Aceso Total show (4:30pm) incorporating the Best of 2014 Chicago Auto Show.
