There were no national auto show during 1949. The Chicago Auto Show went on hiatus after the 1941 show, which actually was held in late 1940. The Chicago Auto Show resumed in 1950, becoming the first in the USA to return to the popular event that pays tribute to new automobiles and all its motorized cohorts.
