There were no national auto shows during 1948. The Chicago Auto Show went on hiatus after the 1941 show, which actually was held in late 1940. The Chicago Auto Show didn't resume until 1950, when it was the first in the nation to return to the popular event that pays tribute to new automobiles and all its motorized cohorts.
