There were no further Chicago Auto Shows (CAS) after the 1941 show, which actually was held in late 1940. The reason of course, was World War II. American factories converted from building cars and trucks to producing planes, tanks, trucks, jeeps, and small weapons. Following the end of the war it took time to gear back up for auto production. The CAS didn't resume until 1950, when it was the first in the nation to return to the popular event that paid tribute to the automobile and all its motorized cohorts. The display photo is from the 1941 "No-Stop America" stage revue. This twice daily presentation was free to the public as part of admission into the auto show.
