There were no national auto shows during 1943. Due to World War II, the Chicago Auto Show (CAS) went on hiatus after the 1941 show, held in late 1940. The CAS resumed in 1950, becoming the first in the nation to return to the popular annual extravaganza that pays tribute to new cars and all its motorized cohorts.
