Nissan and Infiniti to display at the 2010 Chicago Auto Show


CHICAGO, Feb. 5, 2010-With just a week to go before the nation's biggest automotive exposition opens to the public, Nissan and Infiniti officially opted to display their popular brands at the Feb. 12-21 Chicago Auto Show.

The news was met warmly by show organizers. John Phelan, 2010 Chicago Auto Show chairman said, "We're very pleased Nissan and Infiniti have made the decision to showcase their vehicles at the nation's most influential consumer auto event."

"The incredible labor force at McCormick Place will be able to help coordinate and execute the additional construction, and will have it standing tall in time for our two-day media preview and 10-day public run," added Phelan. "Both prospective and existing Nissan and Infiniti customers will be able to view the latest rolling style and technology that has made them significant forces in the automotive world."

According industry data, Nissan registered almost 9 percent of area light car and truck sales in 2009, and local dealer projections for 2010 are optimistic.

"All of our dealers are thrilled to be participating in this remarkable show," said Saul Rosen, owner, Rosen Nissan of Gurnee, Ill., and a former chairman of the Nissan National Dealer Advisory Board. "We're pleased that the decision was made. This show sells cars-and that's something everyone wants to see."

Show-goers will have the opportunity to see the full range of Nissan and Infiniti vehicles, as well as some all new models from the two brands. Nissan will showcase the new 2011 370Z 40th Anniversary Edition for the first time anywhere; and Infiniti's display includes the all-new 2011 M, which goes on sale this spring.
