2008 Saturn Astra to be Unveiled at Chicago Auto Show

December 8, 2007 - This year, Saturn has undertaken a major revitalization of its portfolio with the addition of four new vehicles.  This includes: the Sky roadster, the Aura midsize sedan, the Vue Green Line hybrid and the larger Outlook crossover.

Saturn continues to have one of the freshest product lineups in the industry by introducing the all-new Vue compact crossover in spring 2007 and the new European Astra small car in fall 2007.

When the 2008 Astra joins the lineup, no Saturn will have been in the market more than 20 months.

The Astra is the result of Saturn collaborating with Opel.  By working together and sharing resources, the two brands are hoping to attract buyers in both North America and Europe.

The 2007.5 Opel Astra was unveiled this week at the Bologna Motor Show in Italy.  The Saturn Astra will be nearly identical to this model and will be sold in the U.S. and Canada in three-door and five-door configurations.
