CHICAGO (Feb. 19, 2015) – Together with Telemundo Chicago, the Chicago Auto Show is designating Friday, Feb. 20 as Hispanic Heritage Day in recognition of the rising market of Latino car buyers.  Dating back to 2007, Telemundo has partnered with the Chicago Auto Show to present this special event.  

This year, a vast schedule of events are planned to showcase the vibrancy of the Hispanic culture, including the following highlights:

Noon   DJ LaLokera – music and prize giveaways
1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.    Maquina de Premios
4 p.m.   Press conference with Ximena Duque
4:30 – 5:30 p.m. Telemundo Chicago live newscast
Fernando “El Feroz” Vargos – meet and greet
6 – 8 p.m. Autograph signing and photo opportunities: Ximena Duque of Dueños del Paraiso and Juan Francisco “Paco” Palencia, soccer player  

“We’re thrilled to partner again with Telemundo Chicago to present Hispanic Heritage Day at the Chicago Auto Show,” said John Webb, 2015 Chicago Auto Show chairman. “Attendees can expect a great lineup of exciting activities and events that truly celebrate Hispanic culture.”

Telemundo is providing coverage throughout the Chicago Auto Show including a TV special that aired on Feb. 15, and will host a live newscast on Feb. 20 beginning at 4:30 p.m.
