Nature Inspired Lexus

Posted by: Molly Geraghty

At the 2012 Chicago Auto Show there are nearly 1000 vehicles anyone can go home and purchase at their nearest dealership. However, there are about a dozen concept vehicles that you'll only be able to find at the Chicago Auto Show!

I found my favorite concept vehicle, the Lexus LF-LC . It is a must see vehicle.  The Lexus LF-LC stands for Lexus Future Luxury Coupe. The concept was awarded the prestigious Eyes on Design Award after receiving excellent feedback.

It was designed based off of elements of nature. Calty Design Studio focused mostly on the characteristics of a twisted leaf to model the car after. The seat interior features stitched suede resembling the veins of a leaf. The interior also expresses security with the deep side panels similar to a cozy cocoon. The main purpose of the tight panels is to provide the driver with a greater focus on the road ahead. Another unique element is the modern panoramic glass-to-glass roof allowing you to be one step closer to nature. My favorite elements are the taillights. The taillights are similar to a jet engine.

The sleek hybrid coupe offers both performance and fuel efficiency.  I think in the future it will benefit our environment and provide a rewarding drive. This concept is a great idea for Lexus' future and will benefit their consumers along the way.
