Configured as a five-door hatachback, the Prius v, with “v” expressing the vehicle’s versatility, is front-wheel drive, powered by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine and two high-output motors. The Toyota Hybrid Synergy Drive is match with a continuously variable transmission (CVT), and can provide power either from the engine alone, or the motor alone, or any mix of both. Combined with its five-passenger interior, the Prius v provides a low, wide-opening rear hatch that reveals 34.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats, and 67.3 cu. ft. behind the front seats, making it the most spacious dedicated hybrid vehicle on the market.
