Engineered for high-performance driving, the elegant Equus comes with a direct injection 5.0-liter Tau V-8, rated at a respectful 429 horsepower and nobly mated to a new in-house eight-speed automatic transmission. The latest gearbox adds two additional ratios to enhance acceleration, shifting smoothness, and efficiency by more than six percent compared to previous six-speed gearboxes.
