2012 LEXUS LFA: Due to its exclusivity – only 20 models hand-assembled each month – you may not see a Lexus LFA super car coming down the street, but you can get close to one at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show. The LFA is the flagship for the F portfolio of Lexus performance models, and the fastest Lexus production car ever built. Lightweight, powerful and balanced, the LFA uses carbon fiber reinforced plastic construction for its chassis and bodywork. With rear-wheel drive, the LFA comes equipped with a high-revving 4.8-liter V10 that creates 553 horsepower and 354 lb. ft. of torque. The sophisticated engine is hooked up to a unique six-speed Automated Sequential Gearbox with paddle shifters for ultimate drive control. The LFA accelerates from 0 to 60 in 3.6 seconds and achieves a maximum speed of 202 mph thanks to an independently controlled throttle body for each cylinder, high-volume 12-hole injectors, dual variable valve timing with intelligence, low-friction engine components and equal length exhaust manifolds. Customers will be able to customize the LFA with 30 exterior colors, six brake caliper colors, and 12 interior colors.
