2013 MERCEDES-BENZ CLS63 AMG: Mercedes-Benz continues its high-end CLS63 AMG and pairs it with a new CL65 AMG for '13, both with minimal changes beside the new blind spot assistance system. With prices ranging from about $140,000 to just shy of $213,200, one expects spectacular performance from these four-door, four-passenger coupes and that is what is promised. M-B’s performance arm AMG is responsible for rounding up the horses and there are 518 ready in the 6.2 liter DOHC V-8 of the CLS63 and 604 on command under the CL65 AMG hood, thanks to a twin-turbocharged 6.0L V-12. A seven-speed automatic connects the CLS63 AMG horses to the driveline, while the CL65 AMG makes do with two less speeds. Performance figures include 0-to-60 mph in 4.3 seconds and a governed 155 mph top speed. Staggered 20-inch wheels and AMG inspired handling make sure the rest of the components are up to the performance capability of the coupes.
