2013 JEEP PATRIOT: Along with Jeep Compass, the 2013 Patriot is built at the Belvidere Assembly Plant in Belvidere, IL. New for this model year are two new exterior colors: Black Forest Green Pearl Coat and Winter Chill Pearl Coat. Unmistakably a Jeep in appearance, the Patriot offers three models: Patriot Sport, Latitude and Limited, all combining the flexibility of an SUV with the performance and economy of a compact car. Drivers appreciate the unsurpassed 4x4 capability with either the Jeep's Freedom Drive I and the Freedom Drive II off-road packages. The Patriot 2.0-liter World Engine is standard on the Patriot Sport and Latitude models. It provides 158 horsepower, while the proven 2.4LWorld Engine develops 172 hp and is standard on the Limited, but optional on other models. Engines can be matched to a continuously variable transmission (CVT2) or five-speed manual gearbox, enabling the Patriot to deliver 2,000 lbs. of towing capacity and up to 29 mpg highway. Patriots five-passenger cabin comes with standard rear fold-flat 60/40 folding seat. There is also 54.2 cu. ft. of cargo room. Other standard features include electronic stability control, electronic roll mitigation, hill start assist, sunscreen glass, fog lamps and removable/rechargeable flash light.
