2013 HYUNDAI TUCSON: For the 2013 model year, the stylish Hyundai Tucson compact crossover is available in three rankings, starting with the entry-level Tucson GL. The GL has front-wheel drive and a 2.0-liter Theta II four-cylinder engine that produces 165 horsepower. For additional performance, move up to the Tucson GLS and Limited models that are offered in front-wheel or all-wheel drive configurations, and feature the Theta II 2.4L four-cylinder with 176hp. Fuel efficiency continues through the availability of two transmissions: a six-speed automatic transmission with Shiftronic manual control and a five-speed manual gearbox. Tucson towing ratings range between 1000-2000 lb.
For even more driver control, there is hillstart assist control and downhill brake control systems. Externally, Tucson uses Hyundai "Fluidic Sculpture" styling with flowing lines, full surfaces and muscular presence. Inside, the five-seat Tucson offers optional panoramic sunroof (replaces roof side rails), navigation system with 6.5-in screen, premium audio, external amplifier and subwoofer, as well as rearview camera. The '13 Tucson features a total of 19 different storage places and drink holders, and when the rear seats are folded down, a welcomed 55.8 cu. ft. of cargo room. New features on selected models add heated front seats, fog lights, and proximity key entry with push button starts. Consumer's can select from a range of nine exterior hues, including Kiwi Green, Chai Bronze and Aurora Blue. The three interior colors are, Black, Taupe and Saddle.
