2013 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE: On display in the Jeep exhibit during the 105th edition of the Chicago Auto Show are the latest editions of the Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV. For 2013, the Grand Cherokee is offered in Laredo, Limited, Overland and Overland Summit trim levels, as well as the production version of the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk concept. And, for the first time in Chicago, the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT (See SRT). Standard engine is the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 that produces 290 horsepower. It's mated to a five-speed automatic transmission and offers a trailer-tow capability of up to 5,000 lbs. The optional 360hp 5.7L V-8 is linked to an automatic transmission that allows the driver to choose between six-speeds when shifted in manual mode. It has a trailer-tow rating up to 7,400 lbs. The Grand Cherokee also offers the Quadra-Lift air suspension system, which adds up to 4.1 inches of lift span. Off-roaders have a selection from three 4x4 systems, including Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II and Quadra-Drive II. Seating arrangement is two upfront and three-passenger rear, or when rear seat is down, room for 68.7 cu. ft. of cargo. New infotainment technologies enable drivers to safely communicate, navigate and select entertainment options using advance voice recognition controls. Additional features for 2013 include headlight washers, power folding side view mirrors and Front Park Assist. An all-black Nappa leather interior color choice is now available with accent stitching done in Saddle, and black Berber floor mats feature a black binding.
