2013 FORD TAURUS: Manufactured at Ford's Chicago Assembly Plant, the Ford Taurus is even more refined for the 2013 model year. Taurus is the first car in Ford's North American lineup to offer the advanced 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine, combining a turbocharger with gasoline direct injection. It delivers 237 horsepower, as well as best-in-class highway fuel economy of at least 31 mpg. The standard Taurus 3.5L V-6 delivers increased performance from its 290 horsepower and both engines are mated with unique six-speed automatic transmissions. Front-wheel drive is standard, with all-wheel drive available only with the V-6. The 2013 Taurus features a more muscular hood, larger wheels and tires that fill out the wheel-well openings, and raised rear quarter panels with larger LED taillights. Just as appealing is the sporty and inviting five-passenger cabin, with available eight-inch MyFord Touch screen, enhanced Sony audio system, paddle shifters and heated steering wheel. The optional active park assist allows Taurus to scan and calculate trajectory and properly position the vehicle to an appropriate parking space.
