VOLVO CONCEPT YOU: To glimpse the future of Volvo large flagship sedans, visit the Volvo exhibit during the 2012 Chicago Auto Show. On display is the stunning Volvo “Concept You” hybrid vehicle that combines a sleek coupé-like exterior with a handcrafted four-passenger cabin. The fastback, four-door body is finished in a light blue, liquid metal paint that is emphasized by the 21-inch polished aluminum wheels, unique grille and innovative headlights. Powering the Concept You is a four-cylinder engine that drives the front wheels combined with Flywheel KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) linked to the rear axle. This innovative powertrain is married to a new eight-speed automatic transmission. Within the four-passenger cockpit, off-black leather front seats are fitted with suede centers for optimal grip. The soft beige rear seats are designed for pure comfort with leather in the center and suede on the sides. Accenting the interior are large pieces of handcrafted walnut, a Dinamica suede roof lining and carefully chosen aluminum details. The wooden and carpeted floor echoes Scandinavian homes, and the experimental Alpine sound system applies the unique "FreshAir" subwoofer technology that uses the air outside the car to create the ultimate listening experience.
