2013 CADILLAC CTS-V COUPE: You don't mess with success, so GM has only tweeted the ultra high-performance Cadillac CTS-V Coupe for 2013, continuing to blend a personal 2+2 cockpit with a drivetrain vetted on Germany's famed Nürburgring. Incredible motoring is supplied by a supercharged 6.2 liter V-8 that delivers 556 horsepower, backed by either a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic with steering wheel-mounted shift controls. Reigning in the CTS-V Coupe are Brembo brakes at all four corners, which include powerful, six-piston calipers in the front and four-piston calipers in the rear. Other technical and performance elements complementing the powertrain, include Magnetic Ride Control, and Michelin performance tires mounted on 19-inch forged aluminum wheels. Compared with non-V Series variants, the CTS-V exterior incorporates a larger dihedral Cadillac grille in a satin finish, raised hood, unique front and rear fascias, as well as a rear spoiler that houses the center high-mounted stop lamp, are specific to the car, as are its standard 19-inch wheels. The CTS-V Coupe interior features streamlined instrumentation, LED lighting, hand-cut-and-sewn accents. The production steering wheel and shifter are available in Alcantara, providing the luxurious character of suede. Optional Recaro 14-way adjustable performance seats with pneumatic bolster controls for excellent body support. A major buying decision is which one of the eight exterior paint shades to choose from, including alluring names such as, Opulent Blue metallic and Crystal Red tint coat.
