2010 CHICAGO AUTO SHOW ONLINE MEDIA CENTER

Welcome to the Online Media Center for the 2010 Chicago Auto Show. The Online Media Center is intended for use by automotive journalists and auto manufacturers.

The Online Media Center consists of the following areas:

General Information - The 2010 Chicago Auto Show will feature two days of media preview, with events starting the evening of February 9 and ending the afternoon of February 11.

After each media preview news conference, we will post releases and photography related to that event. Releases and photography will be posted in the Online Newsroom.

The Chicago Auto Show is officially sanctioned by the International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (OICA). The organization’s membership comprises 41 national trade associations around the world, including all major automobile manufacturing countries, thereby covering virtually the entire motor vehicle industry all over the world. Media Center - The media center is located in Room N426 of McCormick Place--the same as in past years. When you enter McCormick Place from Gate 3 (where the hotel shuttles will drop you), proceed up the escalator and follow the signs through the Grand Concourse. You will go up two more escalators and then cross over to the Grand Concourse to get to N426.

Official Hotel - The Chicago Auto Show is pleased to announce their new partnership with the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers. The Sheraton Chicago is conveniently located for easy access to McCormick Place, the Grand Ave./Illinois St. corridor, and the busy Michigan Ave. "Magnificent Mile". The recently renovated Sheraton Chicago is offering Chicago Auto Show media, exhibitors, and attendees a fabulous rate and wonderful add-ons.

For $115 you receive a traditional room, complimentary in-room internet access,  complimentary health club and pool access, complimentary local paper, use of the complimentary McCormick Place Shuttle and Double Starwood Preferred Guest points. Parking - We highly encourage use of the shuttles from our headquarter hotels, but media who choose to drive to the show will find the 31st St. Lot their best bet. You may also park on the West side of McCormick Place in the Martin Luther King Drive Lot. Consult the map in the Online Newsroom for assistance.

Parking is NOT complimentary, as the lots are not operated by the auto show management.

Media Shuttles - The show will operate a shuttle service on February 10 and 11 that will take you from the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers to Gate 26, almost directly below the Media Center in Room N426. Check with the hotel for shuttle pickup locations and times.

Coat Check - At the top of the escalators across from the media center, you will find a complimentary coat check. You will need a media credential to use this room for your belongings. Please use it rather than jam up the working areas. Thanks for your cooperation!
