Media Information
The 2013 Chicago Auto Show will feature two days of media preview, with events starting at 7:30 a.m. February 7 and ending the afternoon of February 8.
After each media preview news conference, we will post releases and photography related to that event. Releases and photography will be posted in the Online Newsroom.
Continental Media Center - The Continental Media Center is located in Room N426 of McCormick Place--the same as in past years. When you enter McCormick Place from Gate 3 (where the hotel shuttles will drop you), proceed up the escalator and follow the signs through the Grand Concourse. You will go up two more escalators and then cross over to the Grand Concourse to get to N426.
The Continental Media Center hours are as follows:
- Wednesday, February 6: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Thursday, February 7: 7 a.m. - 6 p.m.
- Friday, February 8: 7 a.m. - 10 p.m.
- Saturday, February 9 - Friday Feburary 15: 9 a.m. - 10 p.m
- Saturday, February 16: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Sunday February 17: 9 a.m. - 10 p.m.
- Monday, February 18: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Official Hotels - The Chicago Auto Show is pleased to announce their partnership with the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers and the Waldorf Astoria Chicago. Rates start as low at $119. For more information or to reserve a room at one of our official hotels, please visit our Official Hotels page.
Parking - We highly encourage use of the shuttles from our headquarter hotel, but media who choose to drive to the show will find the 31st St. Lot their best bet. You may also park on the West side of McCormick Place in the Martin Luther King Drive Lot. Parking is NOT complimentary, as the lots are not operated by auto show management.
Media Shuttles - The show will operate a shuttle service on February 7 and 8 that will take you from the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers to Gate 3, which is located at the west end of McCormick Place South Building. Check with the hotel for shuttle pickup locations and times. Shuttles will not operate from the Waldorf Astoria Chicago.
Coat Check - At the top of the escalators across from the Continental Media Center, you will find a complimentary coat check. You will need a media credential to use this room for your belongings. Thanks for your cooperation!
