Media Credentials Registration
Media Credentials are intended for working media. They are valid for the Media Preview (February 8-9) and the Public Show (February 10-19).
A valid government-issued photo ID is needed along with your credential to gain access to the show floor. Media Credentials are not valid for First Look for Charity.
You may also request credentials at the Chicago Auto Show Media Center. However, long lines are expected during the Media Preview. Journalists and photographers requesting media credentials at the media center will need the following:
- valid, state- or government-issued photo ID
- business card
- printed examples of your work
If you don't have examples of your work, you will need a letter from your assignment editor or publisher on company letterhead. Don't try to BS us, as we've had years of experience fending off poseurs. There are no exceptions to these rules.
The Chicago Auto Show Media Center is located in N426. There are large signs all over McCormick Place to direct you to the media center. It will be open Monday, February 6 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesday, February 7 through Sunday February 19 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Corporate executives, exhibitors, and public relations personnel should register for Exhibitor Credentials. You can access the Exhibitor section of the Web site by clicking here.
Registration for media credentials is available on-site only. Please register in the Continental Media Center.
