Media Credential Registration
Media Credentials are intended for working media. They are valid for the Media Preview (February 7-8) and the Public Show (February 9-18).
A valid government-issued photo ID is needed along with your credential to gain access to the show floor. Media Credentials are not valid for First Look for Charity.
At this time, you may only request credentials in person at the Chicago Auto Show Media Center. However, long lines are expected during the Media Preview. Journalists and photographers requesting media credentials at the media center will need the following:
- valid, state- or government-issued photo ID
- business card
- printed examples of your work
If you don't have examples of your work, you will need a letter from your assignment editor or publisher on company letterhead. There are no exceptions to these rules.
The Chicago Auto Show Media Center is located in N426. There are large signs all over McCormick Place to direct you to the Media Center. Media Center hours are as follows:
- Wednesday, February 6: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Thursday, February 7: 7 a.m. - 6 p.m.
- Friday, February 8: 7 a.m. - 10 p.m.
- Saturday, February 9 - Sunday, February 17: 9 a.m. - 10 p.m.
- Monday, February 18: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m
