Chicago Automobile Trade Association and DriveChicago.com Forge Agreement with Carfax to Provide Consumers and Dealers with Vehicle History Reports
CHICAGO (August 20, 2013) - An agreement to give used car shoppers on DriveChicago.com access to Carfax Vehicle History Reports has been reached by the Chicago Automobile Trade Association (CATA) and Carfax. In addition, the CATA is working with Carfax to provide Carfax Vehicle History Reports to its dealer members through a unique CATA subscription.
Kicking off this partnership is a 90-day campaign providing no-charge Carfax Vehicle History Reports to DriveChicago.com site visitors on nearly every used vehicle listed. This campaign will begin on August 26 and run through November.
"We are extremely excited to be partnering with the premier provider of vehicle history reports and especially pleased that we can offer no-charge reports on all of our used vehicles for the strong-selling months of September, October and November," said Tony Guido, chairman of the DriveChicago committee at the CATA and owner of Arlington Heights Ford.
As part of the agreement, the companies also will work together to help educate used car buyers and sellers on the importance of researching a vehicle's history and promote the availability of Carfax Reports on DriveChicago.com.
"Carfax and DriveChicago.com are committed to helping Chicagoland consumers purchase quality used cars," said Larry Gamache, communications director at Carfax. "A Carfax report is a great place to start. You have access to accidents, service history, mileage information and more that are reported to Carfax. Plus, from now until the end of November, online shoppers get a Carfax Report for free on the used cars listed on DriveChicago.com to help them make an informed buying decision."
