Dear 2012 Chicago Auto Show Exhibitor:
Welcome to the 104th edition of the Chicago Auto Show and our online exhibitor manual at www.chicagoautoshow.com/exhibitors. This online kit is not unlike the owner's manual in your car - all the answers are here, but you have to open it to find them! If you want to use the search feature, simply download it as a PDF. As always, please note the deadline dates to take advantage of the savings offered.
As I mentioned when we released the Floor Plan, the McCormick Place reforms that exhibitors enjoyed at the 2011 show have been solidified and enhanced so be sure to take advantage of every break and cost saving possible. The most significant change for 2012 is our show contractor, GES, also now serves as the show's electrical contractor, replacing Focus One and McCormick Place. All of your electrical services and labor will now be ordered through GES.
Two other new players in Chicago are SMG, which now operates McCormick Place, and Savor, which will be handling all McCormick Place catering. That being said, you'll see many familiar faces around the building because the new companies recognized and retained many of the talented people we've been fortunate to work with through the years.
Just a friendly reminder, all exhibitor and corporate credential registration will be online. For those who wait until they are on-site, exhibitor and corporate credential registration will be located in room S401B on Level 4 of McCormick Place South beginning Monday, Feb. 6. Registration details are in Bulletin 11 of this manual.
Beginning Monday, Feb. 6, until Sunday, Feb. 19, all Chicago Automobile Trade Association and show management offices will be in McCormick Place. All phone and fax numbers together with E-mail addresses pertaining to show management are located in both the General Information tab and the Quick Links section of our exhibitor manual. For any additional questions regarding the show, do not hesitate to contact us.
- Executive Show Management is above the Grand Concourse and South Hall A in Room S400B.
- The Media Center is above the Grand Concourse Lobby and North Hall B in Room N426.
- The Exhibitor Office is on level 4 on the East side of South Hall A in Room S401A.
The Service Desk locations for GES and our other official service providers are as follows.
- In South Hall A, below the North food pod, one level below the show floor.
- In North Hall B, Room N226, across from the Security Office, one level below the show floor.
- Security, Usher and Guards are located one level below the North Hall B in Room N231.
