  • Employee Credentials for Admission
  • All Exhibitor Personnel, including Corporate Personnel, Manufacturer Executives and Sales Representatives
  • Model, Narrator, Product Specialists and Talent
  • All Contractors, Exhibitor Appointed Contractors and Sub-Contractors

To: All Exhibitors and Contractors

The Chicago Auto Show revised its credentials policy in 2007. We will continue with this policy in 2008 with a few alterations. This policy allows show management to be aware of all individuals on show site and to be more responsive toward our exhibitor’s needs. We will continue to provide credentials allowing exhibitors to properly staff their displays during the installation and dismantle, the media preview, First Look for Charity and the public days of the show.

No one will be admitted to the exhibit floor without a valid credential and picture identification!

New in 2008, the registration is on-line at www.chicagoautoshow.com/exhibitors . Exhibitors are required to complete an advanced registration that lists every individual who will need access to the show floor. The exhibitor Web site requires a password for access. Click on Credential Registration/Tracking and follow the easy to use registration forms.

We require registration information for each exhibitor including corporate personnel and manufacturer executives, Exhibitor Appointed Contractor, their sub-contractors, models, narrators, product specialists (including those affiliated with a modeling or talent agency), sales representatives and all official contractors. Media registration is described in Bulletin 11A and our Show Update.

Admission badges will be mailed or available at the on-site Registration Desk.
All personalized admission badges created from the registration, will be sent to the individual completing the registration form and that individual will assume all responsibility for the proper distribution. However, if desired, show management will have these badges available at our on-site registration desk, located in S401D. These badges may be picked up by group or individually. On-site pick-up and registration will be available beginning Monday, Feb. 4 from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. daily.Show management will refer all on-site questions relating to credentials and admission to the new registration desk or to the individual who submitted the advanced registration form.

  • 2008 First Look for Charity, Thursday, Feb. 7

To: All Exhibitors

First Look for Charity worker passes are available on a limited basis and are strictly for use by personnel who are deemed necessary and essential to operate the display.

Because attendance at First Look for Charity is significantly less than that on any "public" day, exhibitors should face no hardship staffing their displays using the special admission tickets. Exhibitors who require additional staff beyond what is deemed necessary and essential must purchase tickets for them at $225 each. All such purchases directly benefit the 18 Chicagoland charities participating in First Look for Charity and are tax-deductible as charitable contributions.

The hours of First Look for Charity are 6:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m., Feb. 7. Exhibitors holding the proper First Look for Charity Exhibitor Personnel pass (not a paid ticket) may enter the show floor from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Remember that these passes are not valid after 7 p.m. Entry is permissible only from Level 4 of the South Hall, between rooms S402 and S403. This is on the east side of the South Hall, one level up from the walkway over Lake Shore Drive. Paid tickets will be accepted at any entrance beginning at 6:30 p.m.

All exhibitors will observe a "quiet time", no amplified sound, from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. for the First Look for Charity ceremonies.

Remember that the dress code is black-tie; improperly dressed personnel will not be admitted. The lone exception, to be determined at the discretion of show management, would be costumed models and narrators.

All guests will be treated to an outstanding selection of delicious hors d’oeuvres, champagne, wine, beer and soft drinks courtesy of the Chicago Auto Show. If an exhibitor wishes to provide individual hospitality service, a representative from Chicago Restaurant Partners will be glad to assist you. Call Adam Sauers at 312-791-7252 to make arrangements. Show management specifies that no exhibit be closed off to any guests of First Look for Charity.
