On display at the 2001 Chicago Auto Show was the Cadillac Vizón concept that gave the public its first glimpse at the shape, razor-edged styling and size of the forthcoming 2004 SRX luxury sport-utility vehicle. A 300-hp Northstar 4.2-L V-8 was linked to a five-speed automatic transmission, and unique vertical gills on the side of the front fenders opened to cool the engine bay. Vizón 's four-seat leather upholstered interior featured a unique two-piece sunroof.
