A Turismo Spyder concept, based on the 4-passenger subcompact Plymouth Horizon TC3, was center stage in the Chrysler-Plymouth exhibit. The two-seat Spyder had a 96.7-inch wheelbase, and was 173 inches long. A 2.2-liter Chrysler-built 4-cylinder engine supplied the power. Showgoers were asked about the Spyder moniker, and encouraged to submit other names for the vehicle at the show. Production was contemplated, but the prototype was eventually shelved.
