Chicago Auto Show Partners with Uber to Offer Rides to Attendees

The Chicago Auto Show announced a new partnership with Uber, a technology company that seamlessly connects riders to drivers through their mobile apps. During the 2014 Chicago Auto Show, Uber is offering a free ride to the show for both current and new Uber users beginning Monday, Feb. 10 through Friday, Feb. 14. Additionally, Chicagoans not only have a free ride to the show, but will receive half off admission on weekdays by showing their Uber receipt.

“We are excited to partner with the Chicago Auto Show to make the show just the touch of a button away for everyone in Chicago,” said Max Crowley, Uber Chicago senior community manager. “It also gives driver partners a great opportunity to check out vehicles they might purchase this year since they’ll receive half off admission during the week.”

New Uber users can enter the code UberCAS for a free first ride up to $30 to or from the Chicago Auto Show, during all show hours. Plus, existing Uber users can check out the Auto Show during uberX hours, from 4 to 7 p.m. on weekdays. All uberX rides to or from McCormick Place are free for current Uber users. The code UberXHours can be used for a free uberX ride to the show, up to $20.

“The Chicago Auto Show is proud to partner with Uber to bring more Chicagoans to the nation’s largest auto show,” said David Sloan, Chicago Auto Show general manager.

Uber will be present throughout the Chicago Auto Show at their booth located on the east side of the Chicago Auto Show ticket lobby in the North Hall. Visitors are encouraged to stop by to receive their half priced discount coupon for entry into the Chicago Auto Show by providing their Uber receipt.

Chicago Auto Show attendees can download the Uber app at www.uber.com/go/uberCAS and enter either code to receive the promotional offer. For more information about the Chicago Auto Show, please visit www.chicagoautoshow.com.
