Calling All College Students!

Posted by: Monica Gostkiewicz

Who are our aspiring Steven Spielberg's? For the first time this year, the Chicago Auto Show will host a collegiate video production contest to give local university students the opportunity to showcase their film production skills. Students will gain real-world video production experience and a chance to win the 2013 Chicago Auto Show Video Achievement Award.

We are searching for those interested in producing films to create a short video and showcase the highlights of the 2013 show. Participating student groups will have exclusive access to the Social Media Preview on February 8, 2013, where they can see the show floor before doors open to the public and will be able to capture footage, conduct necessary interviews and collaborate on assignments. Students will work in groups up to four members where they will write, film, edit and produce their video for submission. Videos will be judged based on clear, effective communication and visually-appealing production.

The winning film, selected by Chicago Auto Show officials on Feb. 15, will be showcased to thousands of 2013 Chicago Auto Show attendees throughout the run of the show and will be featured on ChicagoAutoShow.com for all of our fans to view.

Beyond bragging rights, the winning team will receive a prize package including a plaque for the school, complimentary Chicago Auto Show tickets and a $100 value worth of gift cards - per student!
