Exciting news came out of Toyota’s regional headquarters yesterday: Toyota broke ground on a regional sales training center that will be located in Aurora. Scheduled for completion next summer, the new training facility will not only be instrumental in training current employees, but it may also expand job opportunities for sales candidates seeking positions within the automotive industry.
With approximately 15,000 square feet, three classrooms and 12 high-tech service bays, this is a significant investment on Toyota’s part – at $4.9 million – but will ultimately have a positive impact. The regional training center will be the hub for surrounding states such as Indiana, Minnesota and Wisconsin as the regional territory makes up 112 dealerships and 70 associates.
The new building addition is part of a campus-wide project that also entails $1.9 million in renovations to the main regional sales office. This news positively showcases Toyota’s mission to provide the facilities and resources that offer competitive training to its current employees and attract new, qualified candidates – naturally benefiting its local dealers and the job market.
