Let me preface this post by saying I’m so proud of my little ’94 Grand Am back at home. The thing is indestructible. Let’s be honest, if it can make it through last week’s thundersnow debacle, it can make it through anything. However, I would definitely consider moving on for the 2012 Jetta GLI, the brand new model in the Jetta line of Volkswagen vehicles.
The reveal was so fun this morning at the Volkswagen press conference. After an address from VW CEO and President Jonathan Browning and a special viewing of the two most talked about auto commercials from this weekend’s Super Bowl, we finally saw the unveiling of the 2012 GLI. The car is absolutely gorgeous. It came out from the garage and instantly caught my eye.
Select 2012 models (including the GLI) will feature a Fender speaker system. I’m so excited Fender and Volkswagen paired up. Both companies hold a special place in my heart, and seeing that famous Fender logo next to VW makes me want the new Jetta even more. Behind Browning were stacks of Fender amps lining the stage, and the sound at the conference was awesome.
Really looking forward to seeing this car on the road next year. No word yet if I’ll be the lucky one driving it.
